Next is delivering value to Arizona's students and communities

What's next? The people of Arizona chose to invest in higher education when they voted in 1958 to create Arizona State University. Our official charter is our promise to the citizens of the state. Our responsibility is to provide public education that is accessible to every qualified person who wants it.

Today, we are ranked "#1 in innovation" among American universities and we are the largest public university in the country, using new technologies and modalities to reach more people who need new ways to access higher learning.

We are a nimble and complex institution, committed to student success and continuous improvement designed to meet the challenges of a complicated world that is changing at a faster rate than ever before. Keeping up with what ASU is doing—and why—is not easy. We are purpose driven, seeking to create value and success for ASU students, lead in use-inspired research and discovery, collaborate with Arizona businesses, and act as a positive catalyst for Arizona’s economy.
